Camellia Japonica
Camellia japonica

The Camellia produces flowers from 3 to 5 inches wide with yellow centers and rounded overlapping petals, much like a rose. Its leaves are glossy, and they stay a deep, shiny green all year. There are over 3,000 varieties, cultivars, and hybrids of these Camellias which offer a variety of beautiful colors. This plant works well in borders, in formation hedges, as a specimen plant, as a colorful accent, or in a container.

Candytuft
Iberis sempervirens Snowflake

a spring blooming favourite, often seen cascading over rocks and walls, or used as a groundcover. The glossy, evergreen foliage forms a compact mound. This selection offers loads of good-sized white flowers for several weeks, on a plant of medium size. Prune lightly right after blooming, but otherwise leave plants alone in fall and early spring. Drought tolerant, once established. Prefers a well-drained site, so avoid heavy clay soils that stay wet in winter. Not easily divided.

This attractive evergreen vine tends to remain bushy and compact when grown in bright sun. When grown in a shaded area, it will take a climbing habit and even climb up and over adjacent shrubs, trees, and objects to height of more than 20 feet so that it can reach sunlight. Its small clusters of yellow tubular flowers are fragrant. This plant is used as a ground cover, container plant, or as a vine to cover arbors, tree trunks, trellises, etc.

Chaste Tree (AKA Hemp Tree, Sage Tree, and Monk Tree)
Vitex agnus-castus

This showy tree is drought resistant and easy to grow. In the summer, it blooms fragrant, colorful flowers that attract bees and hummingbirds. Its rich green foliage does resemble the Cannabis plant thus its nickname of Hemp Tree. This tree can be used as a specimen tree or as a container tree. It looks great unpruned, but it takes well to winter pruning.
